There's no getting around the fact that our grade school children lost a great deal of would be academic growth during the pandemic. The current national teacher shortage, which doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon, leaves many parents wondering if they can trust schools to really prepare their children for success.

The Long Game
Children are the most expensive investment you'll ever make in a lifetime. Every decision is financially impactful to your family line. Whether you choose public or private for their education, you're essentially entering into a financial contract that'll impact your family's generational wealth. It's an exchange of money for an investment, not unlike a company investing into its employee's. Whether with money or time, you're paying to have hours of care and thinking skills invested into your child. Much like a business owner who pays for staff training to increase the bottom line. However, a business owner would regularly verify whether the cost of the training is strengthening staff skills.
Parents who want generational wealth should take this same approach when choosing who'll be grooming their kids' thinking skills. With 12 year old's having access to makng a steady income through social media , parents are needing their kids to have financial literacy and time management skills before high school. If they're going to one day lead the financial trajectory of their family line, they'll need a wealth minded lifestyle skills.
We all understand that mindset habits are learned, and can produce varied results depending on what's feeding them. Mindset habits have to matter not only with choosing childcare or school, but also with sports, tutoring, babysitting, and even your village. Primarily because their daily habits will be groomed by who they spend those impressionable first 8 years around. Every waking hour of their day, they're learning and strengthening habits whether you're planning it or not. Viewing each of those moments as valuable investment training hours, is the first step towards shaping their thinking. The question for parents to answer is, will that investment financially benefit their family line, or someone else's.
